AFHCO is *******ly evicting and locking people off their flats. No regard for the law or peoples dignity

I am a tenant at Durban Heights. After having notified AFHCO that my payment was running late and having made an arrangement with them, they still lockout my wide and kids off the property with no warning letter, eviction notice or any form of legal notice. Calling their offices landed me to a very rude credit controller called Nqobile, who was very rude to me and told me in my ear that "Ngimjwayela kabi" but asking them to honor their committment to give me more time. It baffles me how a proffessional person dealing with a customer of more than a year that "umjwayela kabi." How do you lock out a family with 3 school going kids whilst their are still at school, meaning they cant go to school because their ufniroms have been locked in, one of those kids is on ARVs and the medication is in the unit. The law requires AFHCO to give the tenant a warning letter and if the tenant still does not respond or does nothing then AFHCO is suppose to institute a process to ask the court to grant an eviction order. This helps the tenant to be evicted with dignity and to prepare for the eviction. I am not even worried about the fact that I had made an arrangement anymore because it is clear AFHCO has no regard for people but I am going to challange the fact that AFHCO has no regard for the law. Secondly I have a problem that a person who is meant to be proffessional uses an insulting and unproffessional tone towards their customers and is allowed to do so. On top of that, I called the credit controller Nqobile over 30 times on the day and she chose to ignore my emails even when the front-desk confirmed she is in the office and sitting at her desk, even when a customer service consultant by the name of Njabulo Dlamini confirmed that she is around and at her desk, she still ignored my over 30 calls to her. What kind of service is that? How then are you expected to resolve your matter with them if they ignore you like that, after being utterly rude to you? I am appauled by this service and the fact that the lives of two people in my family taking treatment for HIV were denied access to their medication for over 10 days by AFHCO.

I have made payment as per the arrangement that I had made with them, and for me that does not mean coming back to AFHCO but an opportunity to take my belongings away from these ******** vultures called AFHCO. I will challange this action legally as I want to ansure that what has happened to me does not happen to anyone else. If this is how you treat people you should not be allowed to operate in this country because you are clearly not sensitive to the conditions that people in this country are subjected to and you are not willing to conform to the rules of this country. As we speak this Nqibile has not authorised the re-opening of my unti but payment has been made. This is a crime, its pathetic to say the least.

Regards,
