252 Montrose - A Disaster!!!!
In all honesty, I wish I had first done more research on Afhco before committing to move into their apartments. As a strategist within the Customer Experience field, I am appalled and utterly disgusted at the manner in which tenants are being treated.
I opened a complaint with regards to my unit on 25 January 2020 and to date, no response and no action from Afhco - yet, my invoice is paid in full as a code of conduct abiding tenant.
My complaints detailed as follows: 1. Shower leaking and my towels and mats are being spoiled. Still continuing and I refuse to pay a plumber AGAIN to come and correct inadequate work done with the plumbing of my shower. 2. My washing machine pipe needs to be cleaned as dirty water is being stored in there. Your plumbing system is NOT WORKING!!!! This is stinking up my apartment. 3. Lights on the staircase is not working. Staircase is pitch dark at night and serves as a high accident risk. This has been an issue for months. 4. The parking lights are not working - high risk. 5. The lights in the passage of the floors at building 9 does not work - high risk.
Jessica Singh-Gordon assigned this to Pieter Uys - who has not once contacted me to action the above accordingly. I have had to take the liberty to get an outsourced plumber in, to come and have a look at the leak, where this gentleman informed that he refuses to touch any of the plumbing work done as this was not completed professionally - CRINGE!!!
To top it all off, I go on this good for nothing MRI Property Central Portal, only to find that the incident number (225543) assigned to this complaint is marked as RESOLVED - what has been RESOLVED?
Let's not forget how they tried their luck to gain an additional R1150 from me for admin fee, post me paying this in full before I moved in. If it had not been for me coming forward with facts and raising this against their *********** accounting team, I would've lost out on additional funds.
It's disgusting that the basic needs of tenants are not covered by Afhco. I am at a point where I have exhausted all measures and have now decided to escalate this as a legal matter. The fancy wording in their automatic responses, website, lease agreements and code of conduct contradicts everything for what they "claim" they stand for.
Afhco need to realise that their tenants are professionals, educated and deserve basic needs to be provided for the amount we pay each month.
