Zero Protection, Zero Accountability

Our experience with ADT has been nothing short of horrible and deeply traumatizing. From the outset, it has felt like they have little to no regard for their customers’ safety or well-being.

We installed their alarm system in good faith, expecting protection and peace of mind. Instead, within just five months, our home was broken into twice, with losses exceeding R100,000. After the first incident, we were told the alarm had not been armed, despite our belief that it had been. We were then advised to upgrade the system, which cost us even more money.

The second break-in was even more concerning. The system was fully armed, yet intruders were somehow able to bypass sensors inside the house. This raises serious questions about the effectiveness and integrity of the system.

What is most disturbing is the complete lack of response or follow-up from ADT after such a traumatic event. No outreach, no investigation, no accountability. Even more alarming, the police indicated suspicion that someone with inside knowledge may be involved, given how easily the intruders navigated the system.

We have since requested immediate cancellation of the service, but ADT has not responded to any attempts at communication. At this point, we have lost all trust and confidence in them.

If your safety truly matters, I would strongly advise reconsidering before choosing ADT.
