I signed up for a 24 month contract with ADT 2 years ago which included a basic alarm. as part of the contract. I also purchased a few extra sensors and cables to cover the whole house at my own cost. My understanding with contract was that after 2 years i own the alarm system (except the radio) and if i were not to renew the contract i would keep the hardware. Now that i am cancelling my contract ADT are being sneaky and ********* by saying that i don't own the hardware and they want to come and remove it. <br> <br> This is utter nonsense. Its an evil way of trying to retain customers even after their contracts have expired.
