Tariff Increase 8 day notice
I received an SMS from ADT on 22 April, notifying me of a tariff increase. Since I know they are now more expensive than other suppliers in the area, I phoned them to cancel. I was advised to send an email, which I did - on 22 April. And again on 23 April and 28 April. Eventually I was called to advise that I have to give a calendar month's notice. This is totally unacceptable. I am given an 8 day notice that the tariff is increasing and that does not allow me enough time to cancel the contract if I decide I do not want to pay the increased tariff. Vusi Ngwenya, who called me, promised he will take this up with administration and get back to me. Bet I will never hear from him again!

To add to this, I was also offered a reduced tariff. Why now? I have been a client for 11 years. Almost every year my monthly payment is increased. But now I am offered a subscription at almost half the price.

What a rip-off. They are happy to offer better deals to new customers, but once you are a customer, they do not look after you.

Too little too late.
