STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

On the 01/10/2023 We acquired a new property which had an existing ADT Alarm System that was not active. We purchased the property with some equipment and wanted to to have an alarm system active until we start renovations and can move the equipment somewhere safe. We called ADT since their alarm was already in place. They came on the 10/10/2023 to sign us up. We said we needed it just until we start renovations and once we are done we will call them to upgrade the system. Nigel Booysen the sales rep came and signed us up. Didnt tell us it was a 36 month contract as we explained our case and wanted a month to month. We started renovations the following month, during loadshedding the place was broken into and the alarm system and electrical cables were ******. We called ADT to cancel the monitoring as we do not have a system in place. They then tell me I signed a 36 month contract and need to pay a cancelation fee. I told them I was not informed it was a 36 month contract. They then send me a screenshot of the fine print saying it is a 36 month contract.

Do not deal with this company at all this isn't the first time I have been **** to by them.
