Should ADT be changed to "Absolutely Daft Technical"?

So I'm not here to complain about the monitoring side of things. Although in saying that: when you clearly tell the operators every call for 60 calls to ignore a fire alarm because it's been incorrectly installed and pending correction for 4 weeks, and you still get calls every few hours after that, you know that your internal communication system for employees sucks big time.

Where do I actually begin? Let's begin with connection of ADT to Rosso company's fire alarm equipment. Multiple ADT technicians have been on site to connect it, and all have failed to successfully connect it.

Beginning of June

First meeting: Rosso's technician was here on time, ADT's was 3hrs late. Here the problems begin, as Rosso do their connections, and ADT connect but need Rosso to come in to test.

This is when silent alarms start being received by ADT and we start to receive 2-3 calls daily, even in the middle of the night.

Middle of June

After multiple calls, I finally organise for ADT and Rosso to come in together. Rosso arrives, ADT doesn't. I have to phone ADT the following day to ask why they didn't come. Call-out set again, I speak directly to the technician, and he promises to come in the next day.

The next day, middle of June

ADT comes in, and says that their installation is correct. Rosso needs to come in because they messed up.

Beginning of July

ADT start to send armed response without us confirming this. Even the armed response units are aware that this bull**** is happening.

Call-outs again set for ADT and Rosso. Rosso don't arrive, and they are reprimanded to the CEO. A different ADT technician arrives, and blames Rosso.

ADT supervisor Waldu is called and reprimanded by company manager. He doesn't care who is wrong at this point, but this has to be fixed.

The original ADT technician arrives, and speaks to Rosso over the phone (falsely blaming the fact that he couldn't make contact with Rosso, even though in one direct call the company manager is able to go through to Rosso's technician). A shouting match insues over the phone.

Once again, Waldu and Rosso technician are asked to liase a time to both arrive together.

End July

Rosso technician comes in with another ADT technician. Rosso confirms with the new ADT technician that ADT incorrectly installed a receiver too close to the ADT antenna unit, and incorrectly wired it. Corrections were made to zones and apparently everything was fixed.

On the same day, the actual alarm starts going off sporadically during trading time - disturbing patrons and staff. The manager bypasses the zones affected and phones Waldu's superior - Eve Louw. Eve is not available and a message is left with an employee. One day later, and no reply is received from Eve or ADT. And during that time, yet another zone was being triggered and 6 calls were received between the night hours of 22h00-23h00.

Please tell me, ADT...how much patience do you think we have? Our manager prides himself on being a patient person, and even he is fuming at the ears. So while you're chasing your tail and showing incompitence in customer service, internal communication, technical service, technical knowledge, laws surrounding installation of security systems and basic business etiquette...our manager is getting quotes to use someone else who can actually look after their clientelle.

Perhaps ADT's acronym should be changed to Actually, Don't Try.
