Property declared secure even though broken into

Our alarm was activated on Wednesday afternoon at around 12:30. ADT responded (12:41) and the response officer declared the property secure. The response note (number 711742) reads \locked & closed. Windows open burglar strong\".<br> My husband arrived home about 40 minutes later and found that the house had been broken into. <br> On further investigation as to how they got into the property we found that the burglar bars on one of the windows has been pulled off the wall on the one corner and they had gained access through that window. But yet the responding officer had claimed that burglar bars were secure.<br> Judging by the damage inside the house, they could not have done all that and left in the 10 minutes it took the officer to respond, so they were in all likelihood inside our house when the ADT officer was there!!!!! <br> Had the ADT officer done his work properly, ******* could have been caught red handed, and the loss caused to me could have been prevented. Not only have I lost priceless family heirlooms, but have also had to incur costs in order to repair damages and replace necessary items. I am utterly disgusted with the service of ADT and will be cancelling my contract."
