The morning of Monday, 20 June 2016 around 00h35 - 00h45, there were intruders in my yard trying to get access to the outbuilding (granny flat) where family members were sleeping. They pressed the panic button, the alarm was activated and we all became alert. I got hold of my cellphone, expecting a response from ADT, switched on all outside lights and check out the premises through the windows.

My daugther heard a car speeding off, There were no response from ADT. We went outside and I again pressed the panic button (the alarm activated), still there was no response from ADT. I became extremely worried and phoned ADT to establish whats happening.

I told the control room official that I have pressed the panic button twice with no response from their side. I was informed that no signal was received by the control room and that the technical dept will be informed accordingly and that I require patrolling.

I expected the technical personnel to pay me a visit to explain why the signal did not activate in their control room, but it seem to me that this life-threatening incident is not regarded as urgent by them, since no technical personnel paid me a visit to date.

Ironically, when the panic button was tested during the day, around 13h00, it worked perfectly well. because the response from ADT was almost immediate.

Therefore the concern is why was the signals of both panic button activations not receieved by the control room when we were faced with real danger??? Why was my property targetted at exactly the time there was some kind of 'signal jam'?? Was this a co-incidence or was it an 'inside job'??? Something smells fishy and not hearing anything from the technical personnel brings about trust issues.
