Improper and unprofessional business conduct

I used to be an ADT customer, but then tendered notice for termination (about a year ago). ADT acknowledged my termination and cancelled the service agreement (which was on a month-to-month basis at the time). The 1st issue of unprofessional business conduct came about when ADT continued with the debit order after the service agreement termination. It took some phone calls, but had the reversed by ADT eventually. Then about 2 weeks ago (about 10 months after the termination), I received a phone call from a collection agency, stating that I had an overdue account with ADT. I obviously knew this was incorrect, since my agreement was legally and correctly terminated (and acknowledged by ADT at the time). I contacted ADT and gave them the opportunity to follow-up and rectify this, which they decided not to do, by just ignoring my request. This type of actions proves to me that ADT does not know how to manage their business and how to look after the best interests of their customers. It is blatant improper business conduct, most probably due to lack of management and disinterested employees. I would recommend any potential customer to steer away from doing business with ADT if this type of behaviour and business conduct continues. Many companies complain that they struggle due to the current challenging economy, but these companies yet remain reluctant to even attempt to optimise on business conduct and customer relations, in order to attract more customers.
