If the Sales Team is anything to go by I would never use ADT for something as important as Security
Called ADT for a comparative quote as our current provider has gotten way over priced. They gave me a price over the phone, I asked for a written quote but they insisted sending a sales person to the property, I have no problem with that. I live in a complex that has 14 units and only a couple of units subscribe to armed response, the same one I'm with. The complex also has the electric fence via the body corporate that is currently monitored by the same service provider that I and other owners use. The guy walks in, I give him the details of my provider and my pain points but doesn't look around or ask about exit/ entry points. He focuses on getting all the business in the complex and tries to push his way to get to speak to our Chairlady today who was at work and who he didn't have an appointment with. I told him to send me the quote I would then look at what current provider is charging everyone and the complex and we can motivate an overall move, but that the current provider would be given the opportunity to retain. The guy basically told me they don't give out quotes for this purpose, at this point I kicked him out of my house. No wonder he's arriving in a beat up old car with a wine cooler as his carry all. So unprofessional. In sales you send out 1000 quotes and work on the account as hard as you can, you might get a 7% hit rate on those 1000 quotes, it's a numbers game, you don't just tell potential clients outright that you won't quote, and wanted me to sign up right there and then without any formal communication. What an idiot, but I am glad that I've seen the level of training and quality of person they are sending out to people's homes, this speaks volumes and I would never leave something as important as security in these people's hands. Onto the next provider for a comparative quote, there are plenty...
