How ADT treats its loyal long-time customers
This is how ADT treats it loyal long-time customers. My business was located on premises A where we used ADT for about 15 years. We then moved to premises B for about 3.5 years and also used ADT. I then sold the business and recommended ADT to the new owner. After a week or two the new owner contacted me to come to the business because ADT was busy there checking the alarm and they had to take the mobile app off my phone and transfer it to the new owner. The new owner also told me they had signed a new agreement with ADT that was about 40 percent less than what we were paying. I was not happy at all when i heard this, since we had been with them for about 17 years The next month a debit order from ADT was taken from my account. I let it go because i assumed they would probably fix it. In the second month another debit order issued after which i contact them and cancel it. I was under the impression that when they see there is a new agreement with the new owner that the other agreement automatically expires because the name and the address of the business remains the same. Now ADT went and reported me to the attorneys for the two months service fee that is after we were loyal customers for 17 years My question is when they had to enter the new owners information into the system they could see that there was already the same business with the same name and address and just quickly contacted me and asked what was going on, but they remained silent and strangle me for two months service fee Will i ever use their service again Will i ever recommend them again, and the answer is never again.
