Fidelity Securedrive is absolutely useless!!!

Last year January, I bought a car and fitted it with a Fidelity Securedrive tracking device. I was paying R99/month. No problem with debit orders until my wife bought a new car around August last year. I asked that they include my wife’s car in the sane contract as mine. Anyway, they came and fitted a device in my wife’s car and told me the new premium will be R199/month for both cars. I was happy with that arrangement and I insisted that they debit my account for both cars on one debit order. Then I get a call that I owe R346. Told them according to my bank statements, I owe them nothing.

I then got a call from a guy called Thabang, saying not to worry it’s been sorted. But alas, nothing was sorted. Sent him an email together with a guy called Terry that I prefer the debit order to go through my account on the 21st of every month. That didn’t happen, instead they were debiting my account whenever they felt like it.

Sent them another email to say I will return all debit orders and pay them via EFT until the matter is resolved. Thabang sent the banking details and said I need to send him proof of payment which I did. Next thing I get calls that they haven’t received payment and I told them that I’ve sent proof of payment to Thabang.

The following month I decided I’ll let the debit orders go through and see if the matter has been resolved, and no it wasn’t. Sent an email asking for a statement, no response. Sent a second email and this time threatening legal action. Next thing I get a statement from a lady called Genie. I responded with a few questions and instead of responding via email, she called me. During the call, I picked up they don’t even have the registration numbers of the cars in their system. My question to her is what then happens if my cars are ******, how will you identify them.

This is the most useless company I’ve dealt with and quite frankly, I will be canceling my contract with them. Even worse when my wife’s car went in for repairs, the tracker kept sending alerts to my phone. Did anyone from their Control Centre pick up the phone to ask if everything was fine, NOOO!!! Instead I had to call them!!
