Expensive alarm not working from day 1, STILL not resolved

On 25 Aug this year we had an alarm installed at our premises, a semi-detached cottage, with sales consultant Wayne Adams. We were advised to get a BX80 open beam in the front porch and an LX 40 beam at our back courtyard, both expensive options at over R1k and R1.5k. Since then we have had ENDLESS problems with our alarm, culminating in our siren not going off last night (10 Nov 2017) when the back beam falsed once again (even after Leslie the outsourced technician ADT uses came to adjust the sensitivity). From the start we haven't been able to use the BX80 open beam Wayne sold us as the beam it sends out in either direction is too strong it picks up the neighbours' movements. 2 weeks ago the front beam short circuited and resulted in our entire alarm malfunctioning, and the keypad stopped working. We were thus not protected for multiple days in a row. We asked for a technician to come out last week, and Leslie was again sent and advised that he would replace the faulty beam, and that we should have been offered/ sold a closed beam with a receiver and transmitter on either side of the front porch, instead of a single open beam unit. He promised to come this week to install the new beam, but we have still not had anyone call us to arrange a time to fix our alarm; we also asked Leslie last week if we could get an extra remote, and after following up today, we find out that a sales consultant needs to quote us first and that the co-ordinator had still not scheduled this. We are tired of such shoddy service from ADT (except the armed response and Mr Mbhiya, he has been excellent), and refuse to put up with this poor customer treatment and pay exorbitant monthly fees for no real value. If this continues we'l;l have little choice but to cancel and move to Princeton or Chubb/ Halt, any other provider besides ADT, which claims to be the market leader in the industry, having been around for over 20 years, and offering direct lines of communication to their CEO. Well, we'll see about that - I expect a response from ADT's chief, otherwise it just substantiates all of the above, proving that the company has lost its way and no longer puts the customer first (did it ever really?). I hope to be proven wrong, but my torrid experience to date has just been so disappointing. I demand this problem to be sorted out by close of business tomorrow, as we currently are not 100% protected/ secure, which defeats the purpose of paying for security. Frustrated "customer", Alex Rodrigues, contract #: 398564
