Dishonour and thievery
ADT assisted my girlfriend's dad to cancel his policy back in January 2018. Said they would arrange for someone to collect the signed cancellation letter, since he is not competent to deliver the letter himself - 77 Year old pensioner, in a wheelchair, with advanced Parkinson's Disease and Dementia. ADT gave him telephonic confirmation of the cancellation (January 2018). I had to assist in managing his belongings in the last few months, since he moved to an old age home due to the advanced crippling stages of his Parkinson's. One year later and after looking at his finances, realized that ADT NEVER collected the letter, dishonored their verbal agreement and that they have been deducting the premiums ever since, non-stop. Phoned in earlier and had long chat with Giovanni, who argued that an old man (who forgets his own daughter's name three times a day), had the responsibility to follow the agreement through and arrange for the delivery of the cancellation letter. (because, he would remember to?) - Lost an entire year's premium, that could REALLY have been used for better frail-care (for instance), rather that filling ADT's pockets. Am incredibly disappointed and seriously warn anyone thinking about doing business with this company in any form. They have no care for their customer.
