contract and small writting

A year ago i app**** to ADT to use there service only. the place i stay has the system in place so i only needed the receiver and Arial connected. i app**** to ADT for security service. the salesman who came explained what i needed to hear and told me no need to read contract as he explained what it was about. <br> <br> all cool and everything was going well, now i am moving.<br> <br> what now, i cant cancel cause there is a clause that says i'm on 24 month contract, only heard about it for first time when person handling my cancellation told me about it.<br> <br> She said i must pay ADT R850 to cancel contract, i told her i am moving to a farm and seeing as i cant cancel the contract that they would have to come install the equipment for me on the farm.<br> <br> she then changed her story about the contract and wanted to know what ADT can do to get out of the contract. i said to cancel owing nothing, she told me she would get back to me (its been 2 weeks and nothing) how long does it take.
