cancellation of contract

during February 2015 I called adt to come and reconnect my alarm system as I already had an existing alarm equipment which I took over from previous owner and I do have the proof,<br> they handover certificate clearly proof that only a link up need to be done and no installation and it is an existing alarm. Mr Van Graan was the sales consultant.<br> They had to do re wiring and battery to be replaced which was faulty,after numerous cemaily I finally got hold if their operation manager who said I had to pay again. which I refused and decided to camcel the contract,now they want to charge me cancellation fee they contract state in 8.22 that I can cancel anytime by giving 20 days notice which I did, it does not mention any cancellation fees on top of that they insist I rented the equipment from them but they cant proof where dit i pay rental fees neither can they proof I sign for equipment received their serial numbers or the technician that installed their equipment <br> I swear if any equipment is removed from the premise I will lay a charge if theft and I wil not pay cancellation fees<br> please take note if matter will not be resolved than the matter will be taken to court and adt will have to
