Call out fee to check alarm

I have been with adt for years, recently my alarm goes off immediatley without time to deactive, adt refused to send someone to look at it unless i pay a technician fee, this is an alarm that they installed, why should i pay for a technician,it could be a simple fix yet they refuse to come out without a fee.this is ridiculous.
