Billing for excessive armed response uncalled for
8 days ago ADT send out a representative. We bought a new property. The person who was here, Ettiene, failed to update ADT with the correct details. Leaving the previous owners contact details and password on the system.

As a result we never received phone calls when the alarm goes off. We being the new owners was not aware that the gate remote also contains a panic.

The response unit would come out and ask why did i not answer the phone. I informed him he must update the office that we are the new owners as Ettiene failed to do so.

This took more than 5 armed response callouts before it appeared that the office now has my number. But we soon discovered even after giving the password and told the office to cancel the call outs, they still sent call outs believing we are in distress due to my password not matching with that on the system.

Now i received an SMS stating we will be billed for excessive responses.
Yet this is not our wrong doing but instead a lack of internal communication and the representative not completing his duty.

We will also not pay for this so called extra response as it was entirely your own fault.

Also the SMS was referring to the previous owner.
