Armed response- Keys

hi<br> <br> I have a spare gate remote which I want to give to the armed response to come onto my property when the alarm is triggered. Now I hear from the technical department that I need to purchase a locking mechanism which I need to pay for. I was never informed of this when I signed up with ADT that I would have to pay more money for the storage locker on my premises at my cost which I find unacceptable. Other armed responses do not operate in this manner, why are you burdening me with these costs? Maybe its time to change over to another response unit that will gladly accept my remote in their hands.
