Another miserable and unprofessional service from ADT

My house alarm activated and as usual, I received a call from ADT informing me of this. I requested that they deploy an armed response unit. The alarm was activated again (about 30 minutes after the first) and following procedure, ADT informed me of this and again, I requested for the deployment of an armed response unit. Awhile, thereafter the alarm was activated again. ADT called, and I once again requested for the deployment of an armed response unit. To my surprise the call centre agent indicated that they cannot send out an armed response unit for the third time (date of incident 20 July 2016).

My immediate response was “so what if there is a break-in?” Obviously, the agent could not respond. On arriving home in the evening I only found two petrol slips which confirms that the armed response unit did not respond to the third activation.

What would the impact be if the false activations was a strategy employed by ********* and then they break-in after the third or fourth activation as they are now aware that ADT will not respond? This ‘rule’ was not part of the T&C’s when I decided to use the services of ADT! I am paying for a service and expect service delivery.

I wonder how many other ADT clients are prepared to continue with ADT knowing that ADT will not respond to all alarm activations - what are we paying for? I am sure that there are other service providers that will be prepared to provide better service.

It is not the first time that I have experienced unprofessional and ******* service from ADT. I was hopeful that after my first challenge with ADT they would improve on their service delivery – this has not happened!
