ADT Sleeping On The Job - Or Worse?

I was away for December and informed ADT I'd be away and requested for additional patrols. On my return on 10 Jan, I came home to find the electricity had tripped and an attempted break-in through the sliding door (point of entry was the back fence). ********* didn't gain access to the house, fortunately.

Called ADT to request answers as to why this wasn't discovered by patrol officers and more importantly, why I hadn't received a "low battery power" notification as the electricity was tripped for over a week.

ADT response is that their patrol officers don't patrol inside your yard unless specifically requested to. On the battery, I'm being advised that the "please test your alarm system at a convenient time" message was them informing me they weren't receiving signal from my alarn. No one can answer why I never received a low battery notification - a message I got before my departure in December due to an outage in the area and still continue to get when there's loadshedding. Yet, while I was away, nothing...yet loadshedding was effected in December. According to ADT, my system never showed as being out of power yet the state of my fridge and electricity meter clearly indicate otherwise.

So, I had no power, an attempted break-in, NO plausible explanation from ADT why I was not notified that the battery was low and it's all a big coincidence?? What a time to doubt a company's promise to serve and PROTECT....
