ADT sells false sense of security
Hi
I have an account query with ADT that has been outstanding and unresolved since Dec 2017. We have received no communication from ADT since March 2019, and now all of a sudden they have handed our account over to debt-collectors. In the time that has passed I have made hundreds of telephone calls, held on for millions of minutes, spoken to hundreds of incompentent people, and answered the same 50 questions everytime. The account should be credited as ADT did not provide us with the service we were billed for. Our alarm did not functon for more than 3 months. ADT technicians were unable to fix the problem, yet they conitnued to bill us month after month. The Consumer ACT clearly aims at protecting customers and suppliers, by promoting resonsible consumer behaviour. We gave ADT more than enough time and opportunities to fix our alarm, yet they failed. The Consumer ACT also prohibits unfair business practices, and I am sure that this issue falls under that category. ADT has not responded to my e-mails since March 2019, and advised me to speak to the debt-collector. My issue is with ADT, they must credit our account as they did not provide they service that we were billed for.
Kind regards
