I suffered 3 security breaches in the space of 2 weeks. After the initial incident we informed ADT of the breach and they said telephonically they would increase patrols in the area. I have security camera's watching the road, and well, this did not happen.
During the 3rd breach, there was an intruder in my yard. I hit the panick button and then sent a Whatsapp voice note to my area's emergency group which includes about 10 different security groups.
ER24 and National were already at my property by the time ADT showed up. Not to mention the convoluted phone prompt process, which plays ADVERTS before being prompted to confirm the emergency.
ADT used to do daily check ins with my neighbor and myself(Both clients), leaving a note in our mailboxes to show they had done the patrol, but to date, since the first incident where our property was ******, not a single check in has been left in our mailbox. Thats 2 weeks of no ADT presence.
I had an intruder in our yard and there were four men walking around taking looks at gate motors, at the same time, my neighbor, also ADT client, had their gate motor tampered with. During this incident, I had called ADT to please send a car out and see what's happening outside as we will not exit our locked property to investigate as that is not safe and could lead to house invasion. NO ONE SHOWED UP.
ADT's service is just plain terrible. Their system cannot even tell the difference between an alarm trigger and "power on" which have very different signal codes as the signal device has separate channels for these reasons. So often we get a robot call after load shedding ends. Sometimes a full HOUR later.
ADT needs to up their game. 1. Fire the person who thought putting ad's on the robot calls was a good idea. Imagine suffering a home invasion, you are locked in your bedroom whilst men are trying to gain entry, armed with guns, and here must listen to some advert about some non ADT service provider. 2. Up your game on patrols and pro-active security measures. Unless your goal is to have crime increase? 3. The recent survey sent out shows how out of touch ADT is with their customers experiences. 4. If a customer requests a patrol due to suspicious behavior, RESPOND, DONT IGNORE THEM. 5. Sort your system out that cannot tell the difference between power on and alarm triggers. Don't know how? Ask National, I did not have this issue when they were my service provider.
