ADT putting us at risk

We had two burglaries at our house recently. After the previous burglary, about 2 months ago, we had to replace the whole alarm system at a cost of almost R9000.

About 10 days ago we left the house on an afternoon and armed the whole property. On our return we found our house having been broken into again. The new sensor in the room where the burglar broke a window and climbed in, as well as at THREE other zones that were indicated in the alarm memory. Yet we were not notified and no armed response dispatched.

Upon ADT's inspection it turned out that the alarm was triggered but no signal received by their control room, because the radio transmitter was faulty. They came and replaced it but I have now incurred damages and losses in the region of R25 000 because their equipment was faulty, only 2 months after I have had to pay to have the whole new system installed.

I have asked for an indication of how they are going to compensate me for these losses due to a failure on their part, which they have admitted, but they have not responded, they just keep saying 'it's under investigation'.

ADT is quick to increase your fees or slap me with extra charges when armed responses are sent to false alarms, but when I needed them they failed me. This incident could have been much, much more serious if we needed assistance and they did not receive the signal due to their own faulty equipment.

I am waiting for ADT to indicate if they are willing to compensate me for this failure of theirs.
