ADT - putting my life and possessions under threat

I have been having problems with a new wireless outdoor beam since last year. It keeps on false alarming. 2 Months ago our garage passive beam packed up - faulty cable apparently.

I have met Vuyani, the ADT technician at our home no less than 4 times. Each time he tests the system and arrives at the same conclusion - we need to install a different beam outdoor, a sheet beam I believe it is called. A new cable has to be installed to the garage (which I do not believe is necessary, by the way).

When last here Vuyani tells me that the cable is dead short and no longer works, putting the system into failure when connected. I pointed out the fact that he had the wrong cable in his hand and what he was working with was in fact the intercom cable to the entrance gate on the driveway !!!

Any way, months down the line and after goodness knows how many escalations, me tendering a 30 day notice of service suspension, thereafter being begged to stay on by dropping the monthly subscription fee and a new promise to sort the issue out, what do I have.... NOTHING.

This is what has happened to another outfit that has chosen to rid itself of its foreign influence and become more locally owned. It has gone down the drain in less than 18 months from its former self.

Now, what is my insurance company going to tell me should the garage get broken into and a car or whatever else, ******. What if the side beam allows persons in that cause hurt or worse to my family? Where will ADT be then?
