ADT hand customers over to attorneys, without calling customers first. For only R133 that was due after the contract was cancelled.

We cancelled our ADT contract in July 2018 and converted to APCAN. Suddenly in July 2020, we got a mail that the account was handed over to the attorneys. There was a WhatsApp number on the email. I decided to WhatsApp the number, no one ever rep**** from that WhatsApp number. So I thought that everything is in order. Today, I got another email. I called to attorneys, only to discover that ADT handed me over to them for only R133. That is pathetic, the companies, think they can just handover people, because in the terms the customer actually agree to cover attorney fees, so now they abuse the terms and conditions. ADT was supposed to call me first and notify me that I still owe an amount. I think we call that communication. I was not aware of any outstanding fees, and suddenly 2 years later I receive the mail from the attorneys. In my opinion, the service of ADT is atrocious. I will not recommend them as a Service Provider.
