ADT alarm .....Chance takers!!!
<p>Cancelled the ADT services in 2014, then in 2017 they claim I owe them R6 300.00 for cancellation fee, my account handed over for collection.</p> <p>The contract was from 04/06/2009 for 3 years, and it was cancelled in May 2014 due to that I sold the house. During that 3 year period i was also paying for the unit itself, by June 2012 the unit was paid up and only paying for their services. Gave a 30 day notice in writing to ADT to cancel the contract and indeed they stopped debiting my account accordingly. Last week 31/05/2017 got an sms that my ADT account has been handed over to Credit Worx for collection for the outstanding amount of R 6300.00. When I called ADT 06/06/17 spoke to Precious she confirmed on the system it reflects that the account was cancelled in June 2014. And fortunately I'm still in contact with the person who bought my house, he confirmed that some ADT sales person was trying to sign him up for a new contract and told him he doesn't qualify and the alarm system was still active after i cancelled it. And he phoned them to come and remove it that was in October 2014 after he had several break ins (useless ****y system).</p> <p> </p> <p>Credit Worx is claiming that I told ADT that I'm moving, but i did not give them a forwarding address that I supp**** where the unit needs to be re-installed, how convenient!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>ADT is taking a chance, im sure business is not doing well since their services suck, i experienced numerous break ins in my house and they would only rock up an hour later and my house will be empty when they arrive.</p>

Issue still not resolved!!! Tumi from ADT called on the 7/06/2017 (same day) this was logged and aknowledged my complaint also confirmed that on their system is reflects that the account was closed and cancelled in May 2014, she's doesn't know where does this figure of R6 300 comes from and also promised to come back to me. To date nothing, they just dissappered into thin air. I want confirmation in writing that my name has been cleared!!!!!
