ADT advocating for *********

After being alerted by our neighbors of an unknown male in our yard we pressed the emergency button to alert ADT. For purposes of the review I will try to be brief. The suspect was apprehended by a family friend & Vusi from ADT then arrived on the scene. The gentleman’s story as to why he had entered our yard did not make any sense & we were of the view that we should contact the police to which Vusi reacted by telling us that nothing in our house was broken or ****** so there was no need to contact the police & further that we needed to delete the term trespassing from our vocabulary as it does not exist! He proceeded to defend the intruder stating he was drunk and had fallen asleep which the intruder denied!!!This was met with shock & anger by myself & our neighbors who Vusi then told to leave as they do not reside on the premises! We proceeded to contact the police despite Vusi’s advise. The police arrived & found the suspect to be in possession of a knife and drugs which were seized. Vusi’s response and that of his manager Petrus was to the effect that ADT’s job is only to show up at your premises nothing further. I’m shocked & disgusted at how ADT have made light of such a potentially dangerous situation given our countries crime statistics. We are cancelling our service today & encourage others to do the same!
