Absolute *******

Recently while trying to cut costs as we all are, we found after being loyal clients of ADT for the last 8 years, we were being charged nearly R1000 a month for home security (DOUBLE OTHET COMPANIES) . When calling around, we found 24/7 security which has a huge presence in our area are charging R450 a month. After speaking to ADT, asking them to negotiate our price before we move, they wouldnt match the price or lower it enough so we cancelled our Contract with them. After a week of negotiating and us eventually sending in the cancellation letter, we were informed we were ONE DAY LATE (needed to be submitted on 7th and we sent in on 8th) and were now to pay for the entire month of February. I find it absolute ******* that they are charging us an entire month for being ONE DAY LATE, as we were wanting to cancel the whole week prior but they delayed by constant back and fourth negotiations.

I also find it shocking that their fees are double other providers. I understand annual increases which after 8 years got us to that price, but surely they reassess loyal customers and lower their fees when they notice how much higher they are paying in comparison to new contract holders and other companies??

Their unwillingness to waiver February fee is shocking and poor service. The most unhelpful staff, 17 calls later, with no call backs as promised, to eventually get through and be told it is what it is and they can't help.

Avoid this company, we have signed up with 24/7 security and already can't believe how wonderful their customer service.
