A year later, and ADT has handed me over to lawyers for something I don't understand. No one can tell me why I owe ADT - who has as poor a hellpeter rating as them.

Dear Fidelity ADT

More than 1 year after severing all ties with you, I get this message on my phone. How is this even possible.

Is this even legal - my profile is cancelled. This is classic, coming from someone who deducted money from my account without at an incorrect time, for money that was already paid via EFT.

Now I must phone lawyers...

Wish I could give you less than a 1-star review.

I tried posting the pictures of proof that my ADT contract was cancelled on 2 November 2022 here, but it didn't show.

Adnil’s reply 20 Nov 2023 at 12:33 What makes this so much more suspect is that when I phoned LGR Attorneys, they simply say the only way for me is to pay this money otherwise they will just refer to their client who happens to be ADT. When I phone ADT, they tell me that LGR attorneys are the only people that will be able to help me.

So, I am going to be blacklisted because ADT is still wanting money from me for something that I don't even have anymore.

The following amounts were paid by me to ADT via EFT on 13 October 2022 (R1185.22), 20 October 2022 R966).

On 26 October 2022, a stop order for R60.94 (I think for the use of the antenna), on 29 October 2022, a stop order for R1185.22 (I still don't know what for - probably for activation) the original system was a District Watch system, and a stop order for R320 (subscription fees) on 2 November was deducted from my account. This R320 was according to my contract only due to be deducted from February 2023.

Had conversations with a "Paul" who at the time was area manager in this area on the 2nd of November and the 12th of December 2022.

Received SMS notification that the R1185.22 and R320 have been paid back to me on 2 November 2022, plus that I my service will be terminated on 2 November 2022. Paul confirmed this earlier on that day.

One year later, I am being handed over to LGR Attorneys - which "TrueCaller" is picking up as spam business, to say they are collecting. *** is the number I was provided with to call. I called, see the review I left on the LGR Attorneys board.

Someone is making a mistake here, and it seems like a big mistake. I am not sure who.
