They dont care elderly clients loosing income

My father in law bought a welding machine there on the 21ste August.
It was not working so he took it back there about two weeks ago.
He asked if he can have it replaced with another model, paying in the difference, but this was refused.
This is against the consumer protection act, as you have to allow him to received a refund of a defective product, allowing him to then buy another product.
You are here in breach of the act, and if you don't correct this during the next two days, I will take this matter further.

Also this welder is STILL at the witbank branch, they just don't care that he can't get work done. They have not bother to send it in to have it checked out.
This is totally unacceptable. Is this really how you treat all you customers, or only the elderly customers?
More than two weeks?
Can you please have this issue sorted out, either give him another welder of the same model he has bought, or give him his money back so that he can buy another welder, but he needs a welder urgently!!!
I will give you two days to get this sorted then I will take this matter to the consumer commission and the printed media.
Hello cjjacobs,

Thank you for making us aware of the problem. Upon further investigation it was found that an error on our side caused the welder to remain at the branch. We do apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused.

As discussed telephonically, please collect a new welding machine at your earliest convenience. We would like to thank you for allowing us to remedy the situation and we have made some changes to our procedures that will hopefully prevent similar issues in future.

Hope to see you and / or your father soon to collect the new welder.
