MAKRO SELLING ACER PRODUCT WITH NO SUPPORT

Bought new Acer laptop HD 1080 . After 6 weeks it stopped working . Took it to the repair centre . There are no spares in South Africa. The spares were also not available to be shipped after 5 days . Eventually agreed to issue a credit to MAKRO Woodmead where it was bought . They have a system and should take 2 weeks . How can Makro sell products that have no spares backup?
