Disgusted

Bought an Acer Iconia tablet from Incredible Connection (I.C) on 29/6/2014 which had a 1 yr warranty. On 16/1/15 had problems charging it as the port appeared faulty. Took it back to I.C. on 17/1/15 and told it would be sent for repair and would take 2 weeks. Today made 12 calls to I.C to find out what had happened to it (its been nearly 4 weeks). Finally got through to I.C Head Office(when I asked for H.O. number from I.C in Clearwater I was told they were moving and they had no number for them!) Acer finally quoted a price of R2985 to repair said tablet which originally cost R2500 to buy! I queried the years warranty and was told it doesn't apply as the port is attached to the motherboard and it would mean replacing the motherboard. Not only am I livid at the outcome of all this nonsense there was no customer service to speak of at I.C but the Acer warranty is not worth having. What should have been an enjoyable birthday present has turned into a ridiculous waste of money. Be warned. Have spoken to relatives in the UK who contributed to this gift. They couldnt believe what they heard. From now on I will steer clear of all their products and so called warranties!
