The company that regards its customers with contempt

ACDC would make for a fantastic MBA case study on how to consistently mistreat and disrespect customers - and somehow remain in business. Perhaps because it’s not overt - they are generally polite & pleasant, but their business process send a very clear message - they have no respect whatsoever for their customers’ time. Examples: Taking ages for computer-illiterate sales staff to capture items one by one. Barcode scanners are obviously a technological leap too far for them; Employing sales assistants who can do little more than read the writing on the item you need info on; Repeating the same time-wasting process whilst a time-water at the door painstakingly matches each item in your shopping bag to the apparently un-scannable part number on your invoice; Implementing ridiculous collections processes. Applying for an unabridged birth certificate would be simpler. Customer-orientation is certainly NOT one of their values or principles.

We apologise for the bad experience that you have had. Would it be possible for you to provide us with further details so that we can investigate and see if there is anything that we can immediately implement to improve your experience? If you could let us know which branch you are referring to, as well as an invoice number if possible, it would go a long way towards allowing us the opportunity to improve our service.
