Poor Quality LED Lights fooling Customers
I would like to lodge a complaint regarding 95 LED Downlights purchased from ACDC Dynamics Edenvale purchased Oct 2011.<br> <br> The globes code: DIM-GU10-9W are supposed to last approx 30000 hrs/30 years at 2.7 hours per day according to packaging. They were installed late Nov 2011. After 1 month of installation the lights regularly failed &

We have already discussed this matter with you on various occasions, to re-state some of the points that we have already made to you in private correspondence:
The hour rating given on a bulb does not constitute a guarantee as to the life span of the light bulb, it is simply an estimation. This can be affected by factors such as frequency of switching, environmental conditions and quality of the power supply, all of which are factors outside of our observation or control. As such our standard warranty period for one of our lamps is set at 1 year. When you first approached us in 2013 to complain about the lamps failing, even though you were clearly outside the warranty period, we replaced the lamps that you asked for as a gesture of goodwill, with the understanding that this would be the last type of this replacement that we would make for you on your 2011 order. To expect us to continue replacing these lamps 4 years after you have bought them is not reasonable, and we have already told you we cannot entertain any further warranty claims against your 2011 order.
We apologise if this industry standard practice is not to your liking, but we have done all we can to accommodate you.
