Longmeadow - The name is Perfect...You wait long for your gear-all the time!!!
Head office is my PET Hate! No matter when you place the order, you have a guaranteed wait for 3 Hours plus (Today was almost 5 Hours for a R2000 order?????). Order it today, and collect it tomorrow, even worse, because then they cant find the items. Staff walk like they are walking on eggshells, any slower and they would be in reverse. They talk amongst themselves, laughing and loving life, while you wait for hours...... I loose around 2 days a week, paying for a staff member to sit on his Butt. If it wasn't for the Germiston branch, i would never, ever use ACDC!!!! Longmeadow - the name says it all........You are going to wait Long in that meadow!!! I now prefer to wait for gear to arrive at Germiston before collecting. But when its an Emergency and you client is up duff street, sorry sir please wait for ACDC......... Pathetic
We apologise for the experience that you have had. would you be able to please give us the invoice number for the items where you have had a 5 hour wait, so that we can investigate what caused this issue and work on fixing it?

We will certainly try our best. Unfortunately the sheer volume of stock moving through that Longmeadow dispatch can lead to some long wait times. 5 hours is completely unacceptable though.
Have you perhaps tried using the ACDC Dynamics website? If you place your order through there, you will receive an email notification once you stock has been invoiced, meaning that you can avoid waiting for the stock to actually be picked, and just go through to collect the stock that will be waiting for you.

A collection number is different to an invoice number. A collection number means that the stock still needs to be picked, which could mean a substantial wait depending on how busy the warehouse is with other orders. An invoice number means the stock is picked, ready, and waiting in our dispatch to be collected, in which case the only time you will wait is if there is a queue at the dispatch counter. With orders placed on the ACDC Dynamics website, you will be given updates on your order as it progresses through the stages of processing, and you only need to send someone to collect, once you have received confirmation of invoice.

In emergency breakdown situations you can try either our Germiston branch, or one of our many franchises, as they do not have a massive warehouse attached, their service will be substantially quicker. They will also carry majority of the day to day items that you might need. The only risk you run in these cases, is that if you require any type of obscure or not often used products, there is a chance that they will not have them in stock, in which case you would have to come through to our head office.
