Handling fee charged after defective product was returned !!

I was contemplating whether to put my review on here or not , seeing as it was such a long time ago that i purchased my outdoor solar light . I bought the first light late last year , tried it for 3 weeks , everyday leaving the solar panel out in the boiling hot sun.. It didnt charge the battery enough for the light to come on. I took the light back in the box , and explained my problem. The sales team offered to change it for me , so I agreed and happily took my new unit home , expecting it to work.. Again , i left the panel outside in the sun every day and before unplugging the light off the panel , I pressed the switch and nothing.I tried this every day for another few weeks , still nothing .. I then had to take the light back to ACDC again , the sales team offered to swop it again for me and I agreed, against my better judgement . This was the 3rd light that I was taking from them , and again , this didnt work . I had an electrician take a look at the light , he said the problem was that the battery was stamped 2015 , and was most likely drained so it wouldnt charge . Again , I took it back and this time , i asked to take another light instead if this type . They agreed , but the manager said that I had to pay a handling fee because I was returning it after such a long time . I find this to be idiotic , if anything , I should have been compensated for the inconvenience caused to me , with regard to time and travelling cost . Needless to say , I paid the handling fee and promised them that I would not be back again. I have spent alot of money at this store , and the sales team was very helpful .. but if the branch is run by management like this , I would prefer to take my business elsewhere . I will not recommend this company to anyone , in fact I will advise people to stay away from this company..Else , you will be inconvenienced and charged for the inconvenience caused to you ..
