Failed LED Lamps

Since May 2015 I have purchased from AC/DC Ballito forty seven (47) GU10 downlighters at a cost of R2527.16.
I understand that the lamps are supp**** with a warranty of three years (Quoted by Branch Manager "David") and note that the lamps are sold as having a life of some 30 000 hours (see packaging) On 13March2017 I returned (to Ballito) 6 failed lamps (within the 3 year warranty period) for replacement under warranty. I was advised that they were to be returned to AC/DC for confirmation that I was not responsible for their failure. I have previously had email discussions with the staff at Ballito and they have NOT been able to demonstrate that my installation was causal in the failure of any lamps. I am now feeling abandoned by AC/DC whilst I do not have use of my goods nor any clear indication that they will be replaced. Please progress this unfortunate siyuation and advise when I should expect my failed lamps to be replaced

Hi Brian,
We do offer a two year warranty on all our LED lights (unless otherwise stated in promotions or on packaging). The lights that you have returned are almost 2 years old, so it does become necessary for us to perform technical checks on the lights, as well as to communicate the results of these technical checks with our suppliers, in order to see if the warranty is valid. Unfortunately, we cannot control for factors in the installed environment (such as unreliable power supply, power surges, dips, etc.), and if the failure in the lights is found to be due to one of these factors, then it is not something that will not be covered by the warranty. We apologise that this is a rather lengthy process, as the lights have to be brought up to our repairs department in Johannesburg, and we also need to communicate with our international suppliers. We hope that you can understand, we go out of our way to do all that we can to make sure that the warranty claim is approved, and this involves a fair amount of careful work on our part. We have checked and your issue is being processed, we should have an answer for you by the end of the week.
Best regards,
