ACDC Electrical - danger to life and property

I purchased two 10KVA voltage regulators from ACDC Newton Park branch which were installed by a licensed electrician. One of the started burning and were it not for quick thinking by my wife would have burned our house down. When I took the two units back to the branch they told me that the unit burned due to being overloaded which our electrician confirmed could not be the case as he balanced the loads. I returned the burned unit as well as the undamaged one (I refuse to have their products in my house as I don't want a recurrence. I wonder why they sell units that are supposed to handle fluctuating loads and then when they cant they start burning, creating the potential for major damage and/or loss of life? I also wonder why ACDC distance themselves from a product, bearing their name, that fails so spectacularly? I gave ACDC numerous chance to review this matter, they have declined to refund me but have offered to repair the unit at my cost.
