Abacus insurance delaying funeral insurance payout

I lodged a death claim for my uncle on Thursday, the 19th of May, claim ***-003700 and the consultant told me it takes 36hrs to approve and payout, I waited and there was no feedback, I called again on Friday the 20th, just to check that all docs sent were correct and nothing was missing from my side, the consultant told me they’re busy with my claim and that he will give my number to the person who’s currently assigned to my claim so they can call and update me, I did not receive the call, I then called this morning and was transferred by Jacqueline to Sharlene, I explained my frustration as we need to prepare for my uncle’s burial, who passed on the 12th of May, it has been two weeks already, she then told me there were issues with Home-Affairs system and they couldn’t do verifications, I then called again at 12:00 today, they’ve put me on hold for 20mins.

This is very frustrating and such an inconvenience for me as a client who made sure that I am paying my premiums on time with no fail, to experience this hassle when it’s time for Abacus to payout, I am dealing with a lot as I just lost my uncle and I have to stress again with Abacus Insurance
