Worst company for Warrenties

I'm actually left cold with some of the other reviews on here. I am also now a victim of the same awful service. And other people have had exactly the the same experience. I've been paying my R500 for 3 years now. I've submitted my 1st claim. And nothing. I'm disgusted that a service that should be there to PROTECT me, is now taking advantage of me and just look for ANY excuse in the book to not pay claims. I wonder if anyone actually had a good experience with them? I've not heard of any.

Reviewer Update

Firstly, I submitted a claim on the 13th of May. (Quote, photos, service history)

On the 17th, after hearing nothing, I emailed again asking for an update.

I then made my complaint on Hello Peter on the 17th May.

They phoned me, saying that they can't process the claim because I did not submit a detailed damage report.
I referred them back to the workshop who provided the quote

The only email I ever got from them, and only reply to my initial claim, was then on the 21st of May from the complaints department.

They acknowledged my compliant on Hello Peter , and then used that communication channel to state that they reject my claim because it's wear and tear.

I need to make this public so that people will understand that claims will rarely be accepted. Even in their own policy wording, they protect themselves to justify every rejection of every claim. They will cover, unless it's wear and tear.

But The minute a car leaves a workshop. It becomes wearing an tearing.

My claim was for a component (lower control arm ball joint) that they said they will cover. They rejected, and explained that these components break down because of wear and tear.

I drive a 2018 Mercedes.C-class 220
Extremely well built cars. So when 1 of my lower control arm ball joint fails (note the car has 4, only 1 has an issue) and it made a significant noise when driving. They regard it as expected wear and tear.

I regret every single cent that I gave them and honestly wished I went with someone else. My husband drives a well known brand 4x4. Pays the same as me for his warrentee . And his warrentee even partly paid for a replacement key. How can standards be so different.
