Wish i never went with AA warranties

I wish i never went with AA warranties.

On my 1st attempt to claim for a repair on my vehicle, I booked my car in for diagnostics as it was misfiring. The mechanic detected that the injectors had failed. however when we put through the claim AA Warranty, they responded that they dont cover leaking parts!!! It blew my mind! Obviously the part is going to leak if theres failure!! I had to pay for my own injector.

Now recently my car didnt want to start, so i took it in to BMW Constantia. Booked in for diagnostics, picked up that my starter gave in. BMW sent through everything to AA warranty, took almost 2 weeks to get an answer as the response from AA is not immediate. The claim for a new starter came in under my maximum cap. However AA warranty requested that they send the price of reconditioning even though BMW doesn't recommend and do not do reconditioning. The manager had to call another company to assist with a price for recon because they were told that if not sent they will book the car in elsewhere. The price difference between a new starter and a recon was only R2000, they didn't even give me a choice in this and just told bmw to go ahead with the Recon. I would of blady given the R2000 if I knew they were so cheap! I Hate Recon parts, its not the same nor is the guarantee! To top it off when i went to collect my car i had to pay for the diagnostics/troubleshooting that was done, AA warranties dont cover it even though its the most fundamental part of the repair they wouldn't have known what to repair if it wasn't for diagnostics. The guys at BMW SMG told me that AA Warranty (AMP) is the worst to deal with and the most deceiving company. Even the manager at BMW Constantia was arguing with them on the phone in my presence, he couldn't believe this company and said he's never experienced this from any other warranty companies and all staff working there said that most of their declines come from AA Warranties!

Dont take it from me but rather go to any OEM dealer and find out for yourself before making a decision.
