Paying for Protection That Doesn’t Protect

Frustrated is an understatement. I’ve been paying R740 every month, only to be told that the turbo failure on my Ford Ranger is due to “wear and tear.” They’re happy to collect payments all the way up to 300,000 km—but now they’re telling me major mechanical failures don’t qualify for cover? Realistically, what component on a car breaks down near 300K km that isn’t considered wear and tear? This makes the warranty feel more like a formality than actual protection. My next move: cancelling it.
