Debit order went after contract expired 25 sept 2020 , still Oct they debit

My AA number was ***, I took the road side assistant last year Sept , spoken with the lady she said was only valid for year after a year it will lapse , if I still want to continue I must call and renew it , i sent numerous emails to AA with no replies whatsoever as I wanted to let them know I will not continue with them and I wanted to know the last debit , i called in yesterday spoke with a very unkind man by the name of Julien my call ref he said is 532 I advise I do not want their services anymore as I want to join other businesses, I want to cancel the plan , he mentioned that the last debit was supposed to be 25 Sept this year he said seeing that they debited they can still cover for me this month I said NO , that's not the part of contract a year must be a year not 1 year 1 month they must refund me , Julien and AA you gained my money whole year I never claimed anything I want my money the debit you took to be refunded with immediate effect. Stick to the arrangements your accounts department should know when to debit and when to stop , my other debits cannot bounce because of your incompetence.
