Claim rejected despite communication about COVID
AA warranties is a bunch of ******, i do not understand why a reputable organization like the AA would associate with Advantage motor protector. i had a policy with them which i cancelled due to a lot of grey areas and borderline ludicrous conditions for claims to be approved.
i cancelled on 7 jan 21, they sent an email saying i am covered till 31 jan 21. on 30 jan my car had a problem. i advised them immediately and a Francois advised me to take it in. it was a weekend and the workshops were closed. the following monday one of my family members got sick and they were diagnosed with COVID and the whole family due to close contact had to go into quarantine. i sent Francois an email on the 4th of Feb advising him of what had happened and that i would take the vehicle in after quarantine which he sent an email saying Noted. fast forward 24 Feb i am out of quarantine and my workshop booking date, we send them the paper work and they reject my claim because of time. i eventually spoke to Francois after sending many emails and getting no responses from him. He is a very arrogant person with 0 client liaison skills. instead of giving me an opportunity to explain my issue and refer back to our comms which he was responding he was very argumentative to the point that i had to stop the conversation and request them to put the rejection in writing.
i will be getting further advise from my attorneys on how to proceed. but i would not advise anyone to do business with these ******. you will just pay premiums but you will never get any service from them. Stay Away.
