AA Warranty poor service

This company is happy to take you money each month but the service you get is worthless. I've been a paying customer for about 2 years now, but I've been struggling on a claim for almost 6months, because of poor work ethic.

My lexus suffered from a misfire.

Lexus CPT picked up a low compression on cylinder 8, assuming valves need replacing.

They claimed for said work of R60k. The AMP Warranty covers up to R30k.

But AMP informed lexus they need proof.
So the teardown began.
When AMP sent out their inspector the inspector just rocked up at lexus CPT without arranging anything.

He then stated in the report that the issue is due to normal wear and tear.
AMP continued to reject the claim.

I then requested to see the report as it was not given to me. And it turns out that at the time of inspection some of the parts and especially the valves that failed was still at the engineers.

How can you deem something has normal wear and tear if you can't inspect it physically yourself?
Why don't you schedule a inspection in a case like this?

AMP should have contacted me but instead they prefer to find any reason to reject a claim, not to pay out...
They like taking my money every month but they hide valuable information and reject claims based on false information.

I also requested a 2nd inspection where all the parts are available.

The a different inspector did the 2nd inspection.

But instead of focusing on the failed parts this inspector focused on a mileage discrepancy.

I booked my car in to Lexus CPT twice to get it fixed. At 1st all the basics was gone over sparks, coils, electronics, injectors. And it turns out 1 injector needed replacing.

In that time I had all the injectors professionally serviced by another company and I sourced a injector 2nd hand. Everything was working at 110% after the service. I provided lexus the invoices of the work done.

Lexus continued to replace the injectors.
When I arrived one morning to pick up my car the car drove normally, with no misfires.

I then took the car back into my possession. But soon afterwards the misfire came back. As soon as the service advisor could help me I booked the car back in.

That is when they did the teardown to replace the valves on cylinder 8. Which was the work we claimed for, for R60k.

This 2nd inspector questioned the kilometers driven in between the two bookings at lexus and lexus assured him that everything the injector in question was replaced. But he didn't see the invoice so he continued on a path that that the engine broke in that time.

AMP rejected the claim based on this information. When I requested the report again I noticed this issue and immediately noticed the issue and supp**** them the invoices for the replacing and servicing of the injectors as well.

AMP decided to stick to their decision and not reconsider their decision.

So 2 inspections were made, both in my opinion is null and void. It doesn't carry any wait because of poor work ethic and worthless service from AMP.

How can you deem a part has normal wear and tear without physically inspecting the part?

How can you have all the parts at hand to inspect the failed part, then ignore it because the car was booked in twice, and after the client AND Lexus explained the reason of the 1st repair done and the 2nd repair, still think the issue occurred in that small window between the two repairs that was done?

AMP will find any reason to reject a claim, even if it's based on false information and poor workmanship.

They will refuse to make use of truth and logic to make accurate decisions on my claim.

The car is now fixed and running 100% smoothly after replacing the FAILED VALVES. I've already covered 3000km and a 1500km oil service. Next oil service is on 5000km.

Thanks AMP for the useless warranty which I have spent on over R10 000.

I don't know how you can keep on taking my money religiously each month, but I get this poor service?

Hi,
I just want to inform you that I stopped my AA Warranty cover as of the 1st of August 2022.I paid it religiously each month for 2years and spent between R10 000 and R12 000 for a useless service.
AA warranty never helped and never have they ever put me, the client, 1st.They were shady and tried anything and everything in their power to reject my claim for a costly repair.
I have pointed out the numerous times where they failed to provide a service including the part where they provided you with false warranty wording!Which I then raised immediately and corrected by supplying the correct warranty wording, which I signed and could find live on their website! This was a clear attempt to try and cover themselves and that was **********!
