AA Mechanical Warranties ******** customers
DISSPPOINTED CUSTOMER: I have had a AA Mechanical Warranty since 2020, I have paid all my premiums and never claimed, until recently My car which is covered by AA Warranty started showing signs for me to fill in coolant, I would pass by the garage and buy coolant and fill it in. I went on leave in September and have not been driving the car, when schools reopened first week of October I started driving the car again for a week I drove it and after dropping off the kids from school on my way to the office, it showed the sign stop engine and fill coolant. I stopped at the nearest Engen garage, the petrol attendent checked the coolant and it was low. Fortunately I had the remainder of the coolant from previous refill. We filled the car up, then I continued to drive to the office. A week went by last week I went to the office I again in the morning the car did no show any message I drove and went to the office, when I knocked off in the afternoon the started the engine to go back home, the car showed the sign stop engine and check coolant level, I drove to the nearest Engen garage again and yes the coolant was low, I was shocked as I had filled it a week ago, the same time I called AA and explained to the consultant and he mentioned all the parts covered by the policy which might me linked to the fault linked to my car, the consultant advised me to take the car to one of the RMI workshops, we filled the coolant again and I called Bosch Centurion to find out if I can bring the car in the next day since it was already late afternoon. First thing Friday morning I started the car engine it did no show the refill coolant sign and I went to Bosch to drop it off. I explained everything and they told me they would do a assessment and sent to AA and if the is a problem they would call them and etc.. Now my car has been in the workshop for more than 3 days and AA keeps on calling me telling me to sent documents, which have been sent and pictures and the workshop did sent the pictures, now AA is telling me I should not have driven the car and I did request car hire, they tell me that will be only if I was stuck on the road. I believe I wasn't and the car was drivable hence I filled the coolant an the AA consultant told me to book it to any RMI workshop which I did as guided by AA consultant. The workshop and myself have given AA everything they requested but they keep on coming with excuses and telling me, that the parts were worn out for some time. I am not a mechanical person, I would not know that. Secondly when the car kept on showing me the coolant message I immediately called AA. I am so disappointed with their services and the attitude of the staff member who is clearly a blamer than a solver. When they need to take money from my account there are they are quick to, however, when they have to pay out a mere water pump they come up with all the excuses and blaming mentality. I followed every step written on the AA policy I have with them, I followed the guidance of the first AA consultant who assisted me to check and confirmed that yes the said parts are covered by my policy and guided me where to go and book the car and asked me to give the workshop my AA policy number and assured me they will pay for the part as it is covered. Now I second person busy calling me telling me things that are am not even aware of and am blamed for. The AA mechanical warranty is a **** to get peoples money and when people claim for what the policy covers, confirmed by one of their warranty administrators and policy documents, AA the insurer fails them and worse points fingers for things the customer would not even know.
