No response, unreasonable requirements for proof = terrible service

My father passed away 5 years ago . The executor of the estate has been struggling to transfer Old Mutual shares from my father's estate to my mom. Phone calls, emails, letters, registered letters and certified documents all go unanswered. Despite the fact that my mom is FICA'd and has provided certified copies of proof of address etc, they're still requiring proof of residential address !?

Eventually after holding for 30 minutes today, the call centre consultant admitted a backlog of almost 6 months to deal with.!

It's worse than no service - there seems to be customer services but in fact nothing happens!

No wonder there is a backlog - they don't actually progress and complete any cases.

Dear Sir

The Old Mutual team has been in contact with you and explained that we have been dealing with the attorneys in respect of the Estate.

We hope to resolve the transfer swiftly together with the attorneys.

Should you have any further issues, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Kind regards

Link Market Services

Sorry for the delayed response on this. Link Market Services were in contact very swiftly (if I remember rightly, 9am the next morning!) and the shares were transferred in a matter of days. Thank you for resolving it.
