Desperate for Help

When my late husband died in a car crash in Dec 2000 with 2 of my children it was beyond traumatic. We wrapped up the estate, closed the Estate Late account and moved on. It was not a problem to not transfer my late husband's Old Mutual shares as I also had shares and it was before everything went electronic and had to be FICA compliant and I didn't realise it was part of the process. When it finally became an issue, I transferred the shares after much paperwork, frustration, etc. In the interim, unpaid dividends accumulated and still can't be accessed. Why? I have to open a new Late Estate account or get a letter from the bank to say I can't open one. Sounds simple, but no one will help. I've been backwards and forwards to the bank as the original account is so old it can't be traced as the bank recycles account numbers. The lawyer no longer has the letter of executorship and although the Master of the Supreme Court has issued a certified letter it's not good enough for the banks I've tried. The death certificate is lost, but the certified copies we were given are also not good enough. If I could produce all the originals, the banks would be happy, but they also refuse to write a letter saying they can't open the account as they expect me to produce originals which I cannot. I am beyond frustrated and am feeling completely retraumatised by the process as all the closed doors and lack of interest from people without authority to take it further and look beyond the list of requirements has over time become too much. Old Mutual paid out when my husband died. Link Market Services has all the paperwork required to transfer shares. I am the executor and have a certified copy from the Master as proof. Please will someone with authority investigate the matter so the shares can be paid out. Please note one of the call centre agents was sympathetic, but his hands are tied. I have called numerous times. I need someone in charge to look deeper.
